Viking men drop second home game

Box Score

Mankato, Minn. – The Bethany Men’s soccer squad were beaten at home by the
Northwestern Eagles tonight by a score of 2-1

Ryan Bolte (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Fountain Fort Carson) was the men’s keeper for the game, making seven saves while two shots hit net. The Bethany defense was broken down for the first score. A shot deflected off the post right to one of Northwestern’s forwards at an easy angle for the second score.

Jimmy DuTremaine (Bloomington Minn. / John F. Kennedy) made a great shot from outside the box two minutes after the first Eagle’s goal was scored. The assist was by CK Pock (Faribault Minn. / Faribault) in his return from a groin injury.

The Vikes played hard all game, and pressed the ball well. They will need to hone their skills quickly since their next conference game is Saturday against Crown.

The Vikings are now 3-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
