Mankato, Minn. – The Viking women won against Crown 1-0 at home on Saturday, marking the second conference win of the year.
 
Alexa Mowery (Fairmont, Minn. / Fairmont) recorded her third shutout of the year, though her job was made easy since she only needed three saves off of five shots to hold Crown scoreless.
 
Paige Taylor (Coon Rapids, Minn. / DCTC ) recorded the goal off of a great assist from Kindra Fairburn (Michael, Minn. / St. Michael-Albertville ). The ladies were able to keep the ball on the offensive end for most of the game, taking 40 shots to Crown's five.
 
The Viking Women improved to 5-4 on the season and 2-2 in the UMAC for the year. They will play Minnesota-Morris in a conference game at home this coming Friday.
