DULUTH, Minn. - The Bethany men's track and field team compiled 46.5 points and claimed third place at the 2014 UMAC Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at St. Scholastica.
St. Scholastica won the crown with 214 points. Minnesota-Morris came in second with 186.5 and Northwestern finished fourth with 35 points.

Earning all-conference honors was
Nic Bruss, whose triplejump of 41 feet-3 3/4 inches gave him second.
The distance medley team of
Julio Garcia, Owen Richardson, Ethan Schwartz, and
Lucas Malimanek came in second with a time of 11:12.87.
Also placing well for the men were Bruss in the 60 meter hurdles (9.17, 5th place), Garcia in the 800 meters (2:05.48, 6th), Schwartz in the 5000 meters (17:10.14, 6th),
Nate Stob in the high jump (5 feet-10 1/2, 4th), and
Josh Bruender in the long jump (19 feet-4 inches, 4th) and in the triple jump (36 feet-11 inches, 3rd).
The Vikings begin the outdoor portion of their schedule April 5 at Hamline.
