Aberdeen, S.D. - The Bethany Lutheran women’s basketball team lost a close game on the road to Presentation 65-61. The Vikings ended up splitting the season series with the Saints, with both teams winning at home.

The Vikings trailed the Saints by one point at halftime, and took the lead for most of the second half to watch it slip away within the last minute of the game. Bethany out rebounded Presentation by 11, however missed free throws and turned the ball over too many times within the last couple minutes.

Nicole Jones (Mankato, Minn./Mankato East) and Jessica Englund (Andover, Minn./St. Francis) both had double-doubles to lead the Vikings. Jones had 12 points and 11 rebounds, with Englund contributing 15 points and 10 rebounds. Emily Schrupp (Norwood, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) had 15 points off of the bench for the Vikings.

Bethany will continue play on the road Saturday afternoon against Minnesota-Morris. The Vikings lost to the Cougars at home earlier in the year 75-48.
