Box Score

Mankato, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran Viking men's basketball team opened their season at home, falling to St. Olaf by a score of 74-66.

The Vikings found themselves involved in a back-and-forth affair throughout most of the ball game and the Vikings took a lead of 39-34 into the halftime break. The team equaled their highest lead of the night with a 44-39 advantage at the 15:44 mark of the second half after a layup by Patrick Garvin (Jackson, Minn./Jackson County Central). Bethany fell behind and fought back, but St. Olaf soon took the lead from the Vikings for good with a three-pointer made with just over four minutes to play.

The Vikings will look to record their first win on Saturday, November 17th as they head to St. Peter to take on Gustavus Adolphus. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
