Vikings fall in overtime to Presentation

Mankato, Minn. – The Vikings suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Presentation Saints at home falling 91-86 in overtime.
 
Presentation led by as many as 18 points early in the second half but the Vikings clawed their way back to tie the game 76-76 in regulation. The Vikings shot 42.5 percent from the field while the Saints shot 46.8 percent from the field. From three-point range Presentation shot lights out with 53.3 percent behind the arc. The Vikings only managed 28.6 percent from three-point range. Bethany outrebounded the Saints 53-40.
 
Jessica Englund (Andover, Minn./St. Francis) had another double-double with 29 points and 16 rebounds. Her 29 points ties her for third in the Bethany career record books for most points in a single game. Englund also had three blocks and two assists. Jade Pelzl (Rushford, Minn./UW-Eau Claire) had 20 points, four assists and four steals. Anna Cepek (Aurora, Neb./Aurora) had nine points and nine rebounds.
 
The Vikings will play their last regular season home game tomorrow, February 4 at 3 p.m. versus Minnesota-Morris. Bethany is now 6-14 overall and 5-4 in the conference.
