MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran men's basketball team (5-5, 3-2 UMAC) competed against St. Scholastica (5-5, 3-2) at the Sports and Fitness Center on Saturday afternoon. The game was won by the Vikings – who secured a 91-76 win over the Saints.
Five different Vikings scored in double figures to lead their team to the weekend sweep of UMAC opponents. For the second consecutive night, junior
Brady Rose (Le Sueur, Minn.) highlighted the scoring attack. The forward finished with 19 points, going 5-9 from outside range in 29 minutes of action.
Sophomore
Blake Lindstrom (Hanley Falls, Minn.) continued his hot shooting from the outside as he added 18 points, going 6-7 from three point land.
Kyle Kubesh (Buffalo Lake, Minn.) contributed with 16 points and seven rebounds while
Neil Eichten (Wabasso, Minn.) and
Brandyn Frelix (Minneapolis, Minn.) each scored 10. Frelix also added 12 total rebounds in the efforts over CSS.
As a team, the Vikings shot 55.0% (33-60) from the field and 48.4% (15-31) from outside range. BLC showed their ability to pass the ball as well, finishing with 24 team assists. Bethany out-rebounded the Saints 47-30.
