Minnesota Morris Edges Vikings

MANKATO, Minn. – On Saturday night, the University of Minnesota-Morris defeated the Bethany Lutheran men's basketball team in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • In the first-half of play, the teams shot a combined 37 three-point attempts.
  • The Cougars shot 66.7 percent (14-for-21) from downtime compared to the Vikings 56.3 percent (9-for-16).
  • The score entering the second half of play was 63-49 in favor of the visiting Cougars

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Brandyn Frelix (Minneapolis, Minn.) capped off his weekend of play with 18 points and eight rebounds.
  • Guard Austin Bauer (Caledonia, Minn.) finished with 17 points and four assists.
  • Brady Rose (Le Sueur, Minn.) added 14 points and five rebounds in 30 minutes of play.
  • Blake Lindstrom (Hanley Falls, Minn.) drained three deep balls to finish with 12 points.
  • Kyle Kubesh (Buffalo Lake, Minn.) contributed with eight points and seven rebounds.
 
UP NEXT:
The Vikings will now be on the road of their next four conference games. On Friday, February 3rd the Vikings will play St. Scholastica at 5:30 p.m. in Duluth, Minnesota.
