HANCOCK, Mich. – The Bethany Lutheran men's basketball team knocked off the Finlandia University Lions 78-75 in a non-conference contest on Saturday night to not only complete the tough four game road stretch, but also go four-for-four in doing so.
Following the win, the Vikings improve to 15-8 overall on the season and remain at 10-4 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference standings, holding down the number two spot entering the final weekend of the 2016-17 regular season.
Five Vikings scored more than 10 points in the three point win on the road against the Lions. BLC was led by junior guard
Neil Eichten (Wabasso, Minn.) who scored 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field.
Brady Rose (Le Sueur, Minn.) scored 16 points while adding six rebounds.
Brandyn Frelix (Minneapolis, Minn.) scored 12 points to go along with his seven rebounds while
Jarred Merchant (Kimball, Minn.) and
Austin Bauer (Caledonia, Minn.) each had 11 points.
51.7 percent (30-for-58) is how BLC finished from the field while making 42.9 percent (9-for-21) from outside range.

BLC will return to their home floor next Friday and Saturday night to close out the 2016-17 regular season schedule. On Friday, the Vikings will play the North Central Rams at 7:30 p.m.
