Box Score NEW ULM, MN. – The Vikings men's basketball team collected their 11th straight win in a rowdy environment at Martin Luther College. The Vikings battled through a physical game and came away with an 86-62 win.
The first half ended with the Vikings ahead 38-28. BLC shot 53.6% from the field in the first half and held the Knights to just 34.3% overall. Blake Lindstrom helped the Vikings get on track with 13 points, connecting on all five of his field goal attempts including 3-3 from three-point range. Trenton Krueger collected six first-half rebounds.
The second half stayed close with the Vikings maintaining their 10 point lead for about 12 minutes. The Vikings depth would eventually be too much for the Knights to keep up with as they pulled away. Jeffrey Parker was a nice spark for the Vikings in the second half with his penetration and passing. Jared Milinkovich dominated the second half with 18 points on 5-9 shooting and 8-10 from the free throw line.
The Vikings shot46.8% from the field and went 23-30 from the free throw line. The BLC defense held MLC to 39.4% shooting from the field and 36.4% from three.
Jared Milinkovich led all scorers with 20 points and added 10 rebounds as well. Blake Lindstrom scored 15 points off the bench for the Vikings.
