ST. PAUL, MN – The Bethany Lutheran women's tennis team fell to the University of Northwestern 9-0 in UMAC play.
Taylor Bolduan and Shoshana Bruner teamed up at #1 doubles and gave it a good fight, but lost 8-4 to the Eagles. Leah Schaefer and Emma Carmichael had a tough run, losing 8-0 and Audrey Petersen and Jessalyn Aune-Smith fell 8-2.
Shoshana Bruner took a total of six games from her opponent at #2 singles, but lost 6-4, 6-2. The Eagles were too much to handle for the Vikings at the remaining singles positions as no player was able to take more than a game from their opponent.
Up next: The Vikings play their final match of the season on Saturday, April 27 at 12 PM at home against Martin Luther College.
