Box Score ASHLAND, Wis. – Freshman Hunter Nielsen (New Prague, Minn.) and junior Brian Smith (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) each had career-highs Saturday in Bethany Lutheran's (17-6 overall, 12-2 UMAC) 107-48 win over Northland (5-18, 2-12).
Nielsen had 15 points as he was a perfect 6-6 from the field. Smith led all scorers with 27 and sophomore Cire Mayfield (St. Louis Park, Minn.) rounded out those in double figures with 12 points.
Nielsen and junior Jared Milinkovich (New Prague, Minn.) co-led the team on the glass with nine rebounds each.
The Vikings built the lead to double digits seven minutes into the contest as they led 20-9 with 13:12 to go in the first half.
BLC would later lead 52-16 at halftime as it held the LumberJacks to 19.4 % from the field in the frame.
Bethany owned two of the three team shooting percentage categories, rebounds (47-41), assists (31-8), blocks (2-1), and steals (17-3).
The Vikings return to the court Wednesday when they open a two-game homestand to complete the regular season against Crown at 5:30 p.m.
