WAVERLY, Iowa - The Bethany women's basketball team Friday afternoon competed in day two of the Wartburg Holiday Tournament and dropped a contest to the host 78-44. With the loss the Vikings fall to 3-10 overall while the Knights move to 8-4.

The Vikings got off to a quick start in this one, with a Kaylee Hunter layup late in the first frame giving them a 14-9 lead with two minutes left in the quarter. The Knights however, would score the final seven points of the quarter to lead 16-14 after one. The second quarter proved to be the turning points though as the Vikings were outscored 27-6 and trailed 43-20 after one half of play.

The Knights would continue to add onto their lead in the third as they went on a 9-2 run to start the quarter and take a 52-22 lead with 6:20 remaining in the quarter.
