MANKATO, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran men's tennis team took on Martin Luther college on Tuesday afternoon and came out with a 7-2 victory. The win moves the Vikings to 6-7 on the season overall and 4-2 in conference play this year.
Bethany opened the day winning at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and held a 2-1 edge heading into singles play. Marcos Borobia Arias at No. 1 singles and Heitor Damaso at No. 2 rolled to victories in their respective matches to get the Vikings to four points early. Needing just one point for the clinch, Bethany go wins at No. 3, No. 4, and No. 6 singles from Caue Ribeiro, Caike Ribeiro, and Javier Billon to take the decisive win.
