MANKATO, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran men's and women's tennis teams each took to the road on Friday night for a nonconference match, with the men falling to Gustavus 7-0 and the women dropping a close match to Wartburg 5-2. With the losses the men fall to 0-8 on the season while the women fall to 1-13.

On the men: "Against a good ranked team like Gustavus I was happy with our team's effort to come out and compete and for each pairing to claim a game in doubles. I thought that in singles the team really battled and made them earn each and every point."

On the women: "Even being down a player I was really happy with how we played today. I think the team is in a good spot and we just need to keep moving forward into tomorrow's match against Northwestern."
