KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Bethany Lutheran College men's basketball team earned recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for its achievements in the classroom.
The Vikings were honored with the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award as BLC student-athletes earned a combined 3.34 grade point average during the 2024-25 academic calendar. Each year the NABC recognizes teams that earn grade-point averages of 3.0 and higher.
In addition, Viking senior Drew Sagedahl (Olivia, MN) earned a spot on the NABC Honor Court for his individual academic achievements. To attain the NABC Honors Court, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student during the 2024-25 year and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.2 following the ending of the spring 2025 semester.
Over 2,400 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25. A full list of Honors Court recipients is available by clicking here, and the following programs earned Team Academic Excellence Awards.
