SUPERIOR, Wis. - Bethany golf competed at the 8th Annual Twin Ports Collegiate Invite on Friday and Saturday as the men took second place out of 17 teams and the women finished sixth out of 14. 

Eva Stuewe led the women, tying for sixth place out of 84 golfers. Stuewe shot a 77-75-152 (+10). Lydia Schmid tied for 29th at 84-86-170, Mattie Mears tied for 34th with an 81-92-173, and Flora Wegner tied for 38th at 92-83-175. The women collectively shot a 334-336-670. Their first round score of 334 set another school record for 18 holes. 

The men posted a 302-300-602, which was just four strokes off the lead. August Waxin led the way, tying for fourth place with a 72-76-148. Anthony Nicolai tied for seventh with a 74-76-150, Andrew King finished ninth at 78-73-151, and Tyson Wicklund tied for 15th with a 78-75-153. 

Bethany next travels to Kansasville, Wis. next Friday and Saturday for the Midwest Regional.
