Cold shooting leads to loss

Northfield, Minn. - Bethany Lutheran College Vikings lost to Carleton in Northfield, Minnesota 61-89 in a non-conference game.

 

The Vikings fell behind early and were down 17-5 at the 14 minute mark in the first half. An overall poor shooting night led to the loss, the Vikings shot 29.7 percent on the night, while Carleton shot a high of 54 percent from the field.

 

Not a single Bethany player scored in double figures, however 15 players scored for the Vikings. Garrett Benson (Rochester Minn./Rochester Mayo), and Trevor Bartlett (Waldorf Minn./Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton) led the way in scoring with nine points each. Bartlett also led the team with five rebounds.

 

The Vikings will play host to Augsburg Saturday afternoon in Mankato.
