Mankato, Minn. – The women's soccer team tied preseason conference favorite St. Scholastica 0-0 in a game that went into double overtime.

 

The Saints outshot the Vikings 41-10 in the 110 minutes. Keeper Alexa Mowery (Fairmont, Minn./Fairmont) recorded 20 saves, and a new Bethany Lutheran record for most shots saved in a game. The Saints also had a 15-3 corner kick advantage.

 

Anna Potz (White Bear Lake, Minn./Totino Grace), Kinda Fairburn (Big Lake, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville), and Joelle Pipal (Mankato, Minn./Mankato West) were the Vikings to get a shot on goal.

 

The squad now stands at 5-1-1 on the season and 1-0-1 in the UMAC conference. The next match-up for the Vikings will be on September 24 at Northwestern.
