Mankato, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran men’s basketball team won an overtime thriller at home against Presentation 93-84. The Vikings are now 7-9 overall and 4-1 in conference play this season.

The Vikings made 13 free throws in overtime to pull away from the visiting Saints. Bethany shot 50.8 percent from the field during the game and drilled their free throws down the stretch to win the ball game.

Gavin Kroehler (Le Sueur, Minn./Le Sueur-Henderson) had a huge night for the Vikings leading them with 31 points including 10-14 from the free throw line. Patrick Garvin (Jackson, Minn./Jackson) had a team high 10 rebounds to go along with six assists. Derek Peterson (Oakdale, Minn./ Tartan) also had a great night for the Vikings with 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

The Vikings will continue conference play next weekend when they play Crown and Northwestern on the road on Friday and Saturday.
