St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Bethany women played against Crown for the second time this year, this game ended in a double overtime tie of 1-1.
Lexie Mowery (Fairmont, Minn. / Fairmont) played another solid game in goal for the Vikings, saving five shots on goal out of six on net and 11 total.
Paige Taylor (Coon Rapids, Minn. / DCTC) scored a beautiful goal from the left side at the start of the second half. The goal was assisted by Kindra Fairburn (Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville).
The BLC women's offense got off an amazing 49 shots, mostly due to keeping the ball on the offensive half for most of the game and maintaining good ball possession.
The Vikes women did allow a goal in the second half, which tied the game, ultimately sending it into overtime and then double overtime without either team scoring the golden goal.
The Lady Vikes will look to improve on a 6-5-2 overall record through their next conference game Saturday against Northwestern in the cities. The women are also 2-3-2 in conference play this season.
