La Crosse, Wis. – The men’s basketball team suffered its fifth loss of the season against UW-La Crosse tonight falling 56-77.
 
Alex Weldon (Linmar, Iowa/Linmar) led the team with 20 points and three steals. He went 4-7 from behind the three-point line and shot a .636 field goal percentage. Garrett Benson (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) added 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. Patrick Garvin (Jackson, Minn./Jackson County Central) led the team in rebounds with seven and  assists with four. Gavin Kroehler (Le Sueur, Minn./Le Sueur-Henderson) had six points and two blocks.
 
The Vikings were outscored 28-43 in the first half. The Eagles shot 50.0 percent from the field while the Vikings shot 40.0 percent from the field. In the second half, the Vikings stepped up their defense and were outscored by just six points.
 
The Vikings will play at home for the first time this season on Friday, December 2nd at 7 p.m. versus Crossroads.
