Forest City, Iowa – The women’s basketball team was unable to snap its losing streak last night falling to 0-6 on the season after being defeated by Waldorf 55-75.
Waldorf outscored the Vikings by 15 in the first half and five in the second. Bethany had a 32.3 field goal percentage while the Warriors managed 43.3 percent from the field. Waldorf outrebounded the Vikings 51-35 and went 92.3 percent from the free throw line compared to BLC’s 56.3 percent.
Anna Cepek (Aurora, Neb./Aurora) led the Vikings in points with 19, she also had four rebounds. Jessica Englund (Andover, Minn./St. Frances) recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Shelby Wiederhoeft (Truman, Minn./Truman) had seven points and seven rounds. Amanda Edmison (Mayer, Minn./Watertown-Mayer) had seven points, three assists and three steals.
The Vikings will get another chance to defeat the Warriors, this time on their home court, on December 15th at 7 p.m.
