Duluth Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran women’s soccer team was handed their first conference loss by the St. Scholastica Saints Saturday evening.
 
Lexi Mowery (Fairmont, Minn / Fairmont) managed to keep the Saints from scoring in the first half of the game but then the Saints booted in a couple of shots in the second half to win the game 2-0
 
The Vikings had some good offensive attacks but failed to get the ball across the goal line.  Both offense and defense will look to polish up in a scrimmage against Anoka up in the cities on Monday, the game will not count toward record or stats.
 
Bethany’s Ladies are now 1-1 in the UMAC and 4-3 on the season. They will play Northwestern on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Mankato for the conference home opener.
