Mankato, Minn. – The Vikings had a dominant game over Crown defeating the Storm 98-41.
Bethany outrebounded Crown 55-30 to score 26 second chance points. BLC forced Crown to commit 26 turnovers and took advantage of the extra possessions gaining 38 points off of turnovers. The Vikings shot 50.7 percent from the field while holding their opponent to a 23.2 field goal percentage.
Five Bethany players scored in double figures. Kasslin Swenson (Nicollet, Minn./Nicollet) led the team with 14 points and nine rebounds. Amanda Edmison (Mayer, Minn./Watertown-Mayer), Kelsie Ammann (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) and Jessica Englund (Andover, Minn./St. Francis) all had 12 points. Englund also had eight rebounds and a team high four steals. Anna Cepek (Aurora, Neb./Aurora) had 10 points and nine rebounds. Alyssa Blume (Weston, Wis./UW-Stevens Point) led the team in assists with four.
The Vikings will take on Northwestern at home tomorrow, January 28th at 3 p.m. The team is now 5-12 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
