Mankato, Minn. - The Bethany men’s basketball team had their two-game win streak snapped falling to University of Wisconsin – La Crosse 67-55 on their home court.
 
The Vikings got off to a quick start jumping out to a five-point lead three minutes into the game, but the UW-La Crosse Eagles held the advantage for the last 34 minutes to remain undefeated.
 
Gavin Kroehler (Le Sueur, Minn./Le Sueur-Henderson) led in scoring for the Vikings with 12 points along with six rebounds in the contest. Alex Weldon (Marion, Iowa/Linmar) had 10 points and added six rebounds. Off the bench Jeremiah Fogarty (Belle Plaine, Minn./Belle Paine) dished out three assists and collected four rebounds for Bethany.
 
The Vikings were outscored in the first half 35-23 but stayed even with the Eagles in the second half. Each team scored 32 points in the last half. The Vikings shot 41.7 percent from the field, and were 45.5 percent from behind the arc. Bethany also recorded 11 steals in the contest. The Eagles shot 49.1 percent from the field and were 11-28 from long range.
 
The Vikings will look to even their record to 3-3 when they head out on the road again to take on UW-Oshkosh on December 1st. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
