Box Score Mankato, Minn. - The Bethany women's basketball team hosted the final home game before the holiday break on Saturday at the SFC in hopes of breaking a five-game slide. Those hopes were dashed as UW-Superior shot over 51 percent from the field en route to a 78-63 victory over the Vikings.
The Yellowjackets (8-2, 3-1 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) proved they weren't weary after playing a home game Friday night and then traveling to Mankato for today's game. They broke open a tight game at halftime by shooting 58 percent from the field in the second half. The Vikings shot only 33 percent for the entire game as their record drops to 1-8.

Jade Pelzl (Rushford, Minn./UW-Eau Claire) led the Vikings with 16 points while making four three-pointers. Briana Brandts (St. James, Minn./St. James) chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds.
The Vikings are now off until December 29-30 when they'll be taking part in the Cal Tech/CMS Classic in Claremont, Cali.
