Aberdeen, S.D. – The Vikings took care of the Saints in a single seven inning game at Fossom Field. Bethany defeated Presentation 12-1.
 
Garrett Benson (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Mayo) pitched a complete game allowing one run off of four hits. He struck out four batters and walked none.
 
Tommy Kramer (Blooming Prairie, Minn./Rochester CC) led the team offensively going two for two with four RBI. Lucas Herd (Gaylord, Minn./Sibley East) went two for three with two RBI. Casey Woodside (Albert Lea, Minn./Minnesota-Crookston) hit two for four with one RBI. Sam Stier (Austin, Minn./Pacelli) was the only Vikings to hit more than a single when he doubled in the fourth inning.
 
Presentation was leading by one until the fourth when the Vikings had three big innings to score all 12 of their runs.
 
Bethany had a total of nine hits and 12 left on base without committing any errors in the field. Presentation left five on base and had four errors.
 
Prior to the win the Vikings secured a birth to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Post-Season Tournament. The teams sits at 19-14 overall and 12-4 in the conference. Next, the Vikings will take on Presentation on May 1st in a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. to finish the three game series.
