Milwaukee, Wis. – The Viking women's soccer team ended their first game of the season with a 0-0 tie after double overtime at Wisconsin Lutheran.
Bethany was outshot 10-12 throughout the game. Five of the ten shots BLC had were on goal. Wisconsin Lutheran had an 8-3 corner kick advantage. Paige Taylor (White Bear Lake, Minn./Dakota County CC) and Kindra Fairburn (Big Lake, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) each had three shots, two of Taylor's were on goal.
Alexa Mowery (Fairmont, Minn./Fairmont) logged seven saves during the game. She was in goal as keeper for all 110 minutes the Vikings were on the field.
Bethany will have a chance to get a win in the record books tomorrow when they travel to Ripon. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
