Box Score Mankato, Minn. - The Bethany men's basketball team looked like they were just itching to get back on the basketball court Tuesday night at the Sports and Fitness Center. Their last game was all the way back on December 14, a road loss to Carleton 80-58. Martin Luther paid a visit for the UMAC opener and the Vikings started out quickly and maintained a big lead throughout in an 85-49 victory over the Knights. The win ended a six-game slide for Bethany.

Deon Wright (Milwaukee, Wis./Messmer), who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, led a quartet of Viking seniors in double digits with 14 points. Garrett Benson (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) , Gavin Kroehler (Le Sueur, Minn/Le Sueur-Henderson), and Derek Peterson (St. Paul, Minn./Tartan) scored 13, 12, and 11 points respectively to lead a balanced scoring attack.

The Vikings (3-8, 1-0 in UMAC) head to the road for their next two games beginning Friday at North Central.
