Box Score ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bethany set a school record with 112 points in its season opening win over Oglala Lakota College last Saturday. It was a different story Wednesday night as the Vikings had a tough time finding the basket, dropping their first game of the season 101-53 at Bethel.
Three Vikings players scored in double figures with
Jade Pelzl leading the way with 16 points.
Kasslin Swenson picked up her second straight double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds and
Angie Scheffler added 12 points.
Bethany shot 25.5 percent from the floor for the game while the Royals of Bethel shot a 54.4 percent clip led by Rachel Parupsky's 19 points.
The Vikings (1-1) will look to rebound Saturday with a 2 p.m. road contest at Dubuque.
