Box Score DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Bethany women's basketball crossed the border into Iowa to take on the Dubuque Spartans. Both teams lit up the scoreboard, but it was the Spartans who did the most damage scoring 61 first half points en route to a 110-81 win over the Vikings.
Bethany made six of 11 three-point attempts and shot 46 percent overall in the first half, but Dubuque made half of their 3s (7-14) and shot over 52 percent as it built a 24-point halftime lead.
Rudy Ruffin was Bethany's high scorer with 21 points while shooting 5-for-8 from distance.
Aimie Wiechmann added 13 while
Jade Pelzl and
Lacey Ellinghuysen each scored 12 and
Kasslin Swenson put in 11.
The Vikings shot 54 percent from beyond the arc (13-for-24).
Next up for Bethany is a home date with another Iowa opponent, Buena Vista, Tuesday at 5 p.m.
