Viking men suffer crucial loss at UM-Morris

Box Score Morris, Minn. - The Bethany men's basketball came into the final UMAC regular season weekend in position to host a UMAC postseason tournament game on Wednesday. After a loss Friday night to the Cougars of UM-Morris 76-65, those chances are now in jeopardy. Bethany is now in a three-way tie for second place with UM-Morris and North Central who lost at St. Scholastica.

Gavin Kroehler led three Vikings players in double figures with 19 points. Garrett Benson and Garet Tucker came off the bench to score 14 and 12 points, respectively.

RJ Dean led five Cougars in double digits with 14 points.

Postseason tournament scenarios are abundant for tomorrow's regular season finale. Bethany has clinched a UMAC tournament berth and will play on Wednesday. It is not known yet where it will be played.

The Vikings finale will take place at Crown College tomorrow for a 5 p.m. tip. Crown beat Bethany earlier this season in Mankato 75-72.
