Vikings win home finale vs North Central

Box Score Mankato, Minn. - Early struggles did not last long for the Vikings, as Bethany turned a nine-point deficit in the first half into an eight-point halftime lead and never looked back, winning by the final of 86-64 and giving seniors Kelsie Ammann, Amanda Edmison, and Sarah Rosenau a victory in their final home game.
 
The Vikings shot the same percentage from the field as their opponents, making 37.3 percent of their buckets. The Vikings had 75 shot attempts to North Central's 51 though. They out-rebounded their opponents 54-33 and converted 24 second chance points; they also scored 21 points off of North Central's turnovers, with 13 steals.
 
Shelby Wiederhoeft led in scoring with 35 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for another double double. Briana Brandts recorded a double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. A double double was also earned by Kasslin Swenson who had 17 points and 12 boards. Jade Pelzl led the team in assists with seven and scored nine points.
 
Next up for the Vikings (7-16, 5-7 UMAC) is a game at Minnesota-Morris on Friday.
