Duluth, Minn. - The Bethany baseball team finished in a tie for second place in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference with Northwestern at 10-4. The Vikings have qualified for their eighth straight UMAC postseason tournament and are seeking their first tournament championship.

For the 17th straight season, St. Scholastica won the regular season championship with an undefeated record of 14-0. Bethany won a coin flip with Northwestern to gain the No. 2 seed in the tournament. Martin Luther and Northland finished tied for fourth at 8-6 and were forced to play a play-in game Thursday night in Duluth to determine the final team to qualify for the tournament. The Knights beat the Lumberjacks 5-2 to finalize the tournament pairings.
