Jade Pelzl connected on a season-high six 3-pointers Saturday, but the Bethany women's basketball team fell at home to Northwestern 83-61 in a UMAC matchup.
Northwestern scored the game's first eight points, but Bethany slowly crept back into the game pulling to within five at 32-27 following a Pelzl 3 with 4:57 to go in the first half. The Eagles though extended that lead back up to double figures by the half's end at 43-33.
Northwestern shot 50 percent from the floor in the second half to take advantage of the game.
Pelzl finished with 23 points on 6-for-15 shooting from 3-point range.
Kasslin Swenson tallied 17 points and grabbed ten rebounds for her ninth double-double of the season.
Bethany (4-10, 1-2 in UMAC) next travels to Ashland, Wis. Friday to take on Northland College.
