Swenson has another high rebound total, but BLC falls to CSS

Box Score DULUTH, Minn. --- A day after grabbing 18 rebounds in a win at Northland, Kasslin Swenson did one better by pulling down 19 more Saturday at St. Scholastica, a number that ties her for third most in a game in program history. She added 16 points, but it wasn't enough as Bethany fell to the Saints 75-64 in UMAC women's basketball action.

The Vikings led for most of the game's first 12 minutes leading by as many as seven after a Swenson jumper with 10:19 left. A 10-2 run followed by the Saints and it went back-and-forth until St. Scholastica finished the half on a 6-0 to go up 35-30 at the break.

Bethany scored the first six points of the second half including a 3 from Aimie Wiechmann to put BLC on top 36-35. St. Scholastica countered with a 19-1 run to put the game away.

Wiechmann led all scorers with 18 points and Angie Scheffler added ten.

Bethany (5-11, 2-3 in UMAC) next plays at Crown Friday at 5:30 p.m.
