Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - Bethany hosted their final home game of the season Saturday evening and played the UMAC-leading St. Scholastica Saints tough, but dropped a 1-0 decision in a women's soccer matchup.
Like the men, Bethany performed much better compared to the team's previous matchup when the Saints defeated the Vikings 5-0 in late September.
The game's lone goal came in the 24th minute when Kirsten Olsen knocked in a ball off a corner from Jalyn Britton.
Defense was the name of the game in the second half as neither team was able to break through.
Megan Zeller made seven saves for Bethany.
Bethany (6-9-1, 5-5 in UMAC) next plays Friday at Martin Luther.
