Bridget Hennen scored twice and
Nicole Moldstad assisted on three others as the Bethany women's soccer team won its third straight match Saturday 4-2 over Northwestern.
In the 11th minute, Moldstad led
Anna Rouse beautifully on a pass that Rouse drilled powerfully with her right foot in the left corner of the net for an early 1-0 lead.
After letting in an own goal to tie the game at one, Bethany scored twice within a minute to gain a two goal edge.
Julia Putz scored for the second straight day off a Moldstad assists in the 35th minute and 35 seconds later the duo assisted on Hennen's sixth goal of the year to put Bethany up 3-1 at the break.
After Northwestern cut the lead to 3-2 in the 57th minute, Hennen's second goal gave Bethany some insurance as she put in a rebound off a shot that initially hit the post for the 4-2 edge.
Megan Zeller made six saves in goal for BLC.
Bethany (5-6-1, 4-2 in UMAC) next plays Thursday at Crown.
