Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - Bethany started out strong Saturday, but St. Olaf's hot shooting ruined the season and home opener as the Vikings fell 102-70 in non-conference men's basketball action.
Bethany used a 13-2 run to take an early 15-10 lead 5:35 into the contest.
Luke Roddy drained a pair of 3s in the stretch. St. Olaf tied at the game with 11:48 to go in the half and took the lead for good following an Austin Majeskie 3 with 11:03 remaining.
Bethany shot 50 percent for the game, but St. Olaf was even better at 54 percent. The Oles shot 62 percent from the floor in the second half as they had four players reach double figures.
Troy Spears scored 16 points for the Vikings and
Nick Sanborn added 12.
Bethany next plays Wednesday at Carleton.
