Angela DeBruzzi scored a career-high 18 points in Bethany's last game, a win at Waldorf. She topped that mark again Monday in a women's basketball non-conference home tilt with Dordt College with 21 points. The Defenders though proved too tough to beat from behind the arc as they came away with a 93-57 victory.
Dordt outscored Bethany from 3-point range 45-6 making 15-of-28 from distance including Paige Engbers who connected on seven of ten attempts tying DeBruzzi for a game-high 21 points.
Abby Chapman (17) and Cassidy Vredevoogd (15) were also in double figures for the Defenders. Mycah Hulst scored seven points, collected 14 rebounds, and blocked six Bethany shots.
DeBruzzi's 21 points including a perfect 10-for-10 from the foul line.
Briana Brandts had a near double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
