Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - In their final home non-conference game, Bethany fell to undefeated Wartburg College 69-49 in women's basketball action.

Both teams came out sluggish as the teams combined for only 15 points in the game's first eight and a half minutes. Wartburg led 9-6 at the point before breaking out of their slump and went on a 9-2 run to go up 18-8. Their run continued as the Knights built to lead to as many as 16 before leading 30-18 at the half.

The shooting improved for both teams in the second half. The Vikings made two times more shots in the second half than they did in the first. Wartburg, though, connected on more and dealt Bethany a 20-point defeat.

Angela DeBruzzi led the Vikings with 18 points. Briana Brandts added six points and ten rebounds.

Kristie Sommer led Wartburg with 19 points and her sister Katie added 18.

Bethany (1-7) is off until December 29 when they take part in the Wisconsin Dells Tournament.
