Kasslin Swenson each scored 17 points and Swenson added 17 rebounds as Bethany completed the season sweep of North Central 67-52 Saturday in UMAC women's basketball action.
The Vikings trailed for most of the game's first 14 minutes before a
Laura Kottschade layup gave Bethany a 21-19 lead with 5:42 to go in the first half. They relinquished the lead briefly, but ended the half on a 6-0 run, all points courtesy of a pair of Pelzl 3s to lead 29-24 at the break.
The two team exchanged baskets for the opening six minutes of the second half. Bethany would finally extend their halftime to double digits following an
Anna Balcom jumper with 13:36 left to make it 43-33.
North Central got it to as close as seven at one point, but Bethany would lead by as many as 19 as they coasted to the 15-point victory.
Bethany (8-15, 5-7 in UMAC), having now been eliminated from UMAC postseason contention, wraps up their season with a pair of home games next weekend beginning Friday against Minn.-Morris at 5:30 p.m.
