Box Score MANKATO, Minn. --- The Vikings rode hot first half shooting on their way to a 91-54 win over Northland in UMAC women's basketball action at the Sports and Fitness Center.
Bethany shot 52.8 percent in the first 20 minutes and
Jade Pelzl led the charge going 7-for-10 from the floor for 15 first half points. She finished with 23 points overall and dished out five assists.
The Lumberjills kept it close early and after a Briana Tody 3, Northland trailed only 15-13. Bethany then went on a 10-2 run ending with a
Jordan Feis 3 to start to break the game open. The lead extended to 19 by half's end with the Vikings up 46-27.
Bethany began the second half scoring 17 of the first 19 points to take a commanding 63-29 lead with 15 minutes to go. They weren't threatened the rest of the way.
Kasslin Swenson recorded yet another double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Feis followed up her 19 point performance Friday with 13 more on Saturday.
Aimie Wiechmann scored 12 and
Angie Scheffler was a rebound shy of a double-double scoring ten points.
Bethany (7-14, 3-6 in UMAC) next plays Friday at Northwestern at 5:30 p.m.
