Box Score COON RAPIDS, Minn. - After a week's worth of postponements, the Bethany baseball team finally got on the field Friday against North Central for a UMAC matchup. The Vikings showed no signs of rustiness as they blanked the Rams behind a complete game, seven-inning shutout from Cory Ferm.

Bethany put up crooked numbers in both the second the third innings to break the game open. Deric Poldberg and Brian Vomhof delivered RBI singles in the second. The Vikings then scored five times in the third starting with a two-run single from Joe Tulholsky. Mitch Sellers added an RBI double and Poldberg brought home another with a single.

While Bethany was busy scoring, Ferm was mowing down the Rams' bats. He struck out 11 while only giving up four hits as the Vikings completed the 12-0 win.

The same two teams are back at it Saturday in Coon Rapids for a doubleheader starting at noon.
