Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - The Bethany women's soccer team entertained Minn.-Morris Friday to kick off the UMAC season. The Cougars scored early to take hold of the game as they defeated the Vikings 4-0.
Just 36 seconds in, Minn.-Morris got on the scoreboard as Molly Hancuh scored off an assist from Kelsi Kolle. Nine minutes later, the Cougars netted another goal as Christina Mollan made it 2-0.
Megan Zellar made her first collegiate start in goal for Bethany and made six saves.
Meaghan Delaney and Emma LaChance added second half goals for Minn.-Morris.
Bethany (1-4-1, 0-1 UMAC) next hosts zMartin Luther Saturday at noon.
