Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - After a thrilling double overtime victory over Martin Luther their last time out, the Bethany women's soccer team took the home pitch again for a non-conference matchup Tuesday night against Saint Mary's. The Cardinals proved too much to handle though and dealt the Vikings a 7-1 setback.
Saint Mary's got on the scoreboard early notching a pair of goals within the game's first ten minutes. Caroline Blackwood scored in the seventh minute and Emily Look added one a minute later.
Bethany did answer quickly though when
Nicole Moldstad netted her fourth goal of the season off a nice lead pass from
Anna Rouse to cut Saint Mary's lead in half in the 14th minute.
It remained 2-1 until the 43rd minute when SMU's Look scored again to make the score 3-1 going into the halftime break.
Bethany (2-5-1) heads back into conference play for their next match, Friday at St. Scholastica.
