Vikings play Saints tough

Box Score DULUTH, Minn. - The Bethany women's soccer team traveled to the shores of Lake Superior to take on UMAC foe St. Scholastica. The Saints pulled away in the second half to claim a 5-0 win.

The first 20 minutes of the game were evenly played as both Bethany's Megan Zeller and St. Scholastica's Kelsey Reeves made multiple saves. Leah Hamm changed that though in the 22nd minute as she scored off Jalyn Britton's corner kick for the first half's lone goal.

Hamm added another early in the second half as the Saints began to prove why they have an undefeated conference mark. Shortly after Hamm's second goal, Kelsey Kehtel added a pair of goals three minutes apart to help the Saints get the 5-0 win.

Bethany (2-6-1, 1-2 UMAC) plays at Northland Saturday at noon.
