Box Score MINNEAPOLIS - A pair of freshmen's hot second half shooting leads Bethany to a UMAC road victory 78-65 at North Central Friday night in men's basketball action.

The Vikings lead by one, 31-30, at halftime, and outscored the Rams 47-35 in the second half for their first road win of the season. Neil Eichten was a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor in the second 20 minutes and Cody Sticha went 6-for-8 as Bethany shot 60 percent in the second half.

Eichten finished with a game-high 20 points and Sticha tallied 16. Nick Sanborn scored 13 points and Zach Brandts also scored in double figures with 11.

North Central was the team who started out the second half on fire and led BLC 38-35 five minutes in. Bethany would go on a 18-2 run over the next four minutes to take a commanding 53-40 lead with 10:53 left in the game. The Vikings would extend their lead to as many as 21 as they move to 3-1 in UMAC play.

Bethany plays at conference-leading Northwestern Saturday at 5 p.m.
