Vikings cruise to victory over Northland

Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - Bethany used a second half surge to win their third game in four tries Friday night over Northland 75-45 in UMAC women's basketball.

Bethany led 32-22 at the break and opened the second half with a 19-0 run to build a comfortable second half lead.

Briana Brandts, the reigning UMAC Player of the Week, staked her claim to winning the award again by recording her third straight double-double with a career-high 21-point, 10-rebound performance. Angela DeBruzzi scored 12 points and Dakota Ellinghuysen totaled 10 to go along with six rebounds. Freshman Shelby Sicheneder had a great all-around game with eight points, 10 rebounds, and four steals.

Bethany shot 50 percent in the second half and 46 percent for the game. They outrebounded Northland 55-27.

Bethany (4-13, 3-3 in UMAC) hosts St. Scholastica Saturday at 3 p.m.
